Georgia Kapelos is Principal of The Kapelos Consulting Group (TKCG), a consulting firm serving the Voluntary/Nonprofit Sector, Private/Business and Government Sectors.
Major practice areas highlight strategic organizational planning; effective change leadership; complex issues management integrating diversity and rapid change; resources development and productivity; quality service management including coaching, conflict resolution, and industry specific research, consultation strategies, policy papers and surveys.
Kapelos brings a unique perspective haped by broad based knowledge, practical skill sets and direct experience in all sectors. In recognition of her leadership, the Government of Canada invited her participation to the first Minister’s Roundtable on Parks Canada; the Government of Greece invited her participation in an international immigration conference adn the Government of Ontario presented her with its highest award.
Her professional development includes an M.A, and specialized training such as ADR (Alternate Dispute Resolution), Train the Intercultural Trainer, Government Relations, Risk Management, Project Management,, Advanced Board Governance, and International Research in Immigration and Settlement policies.
Public service includes chairship of the TVOntario Southcentral Advisory Council, board membership in the Urban Alliance on Race Relations, the Toronto Task Force on Refugees, the Centennial College Advisory Committee on Interpreters Training, and the Women’s Legal Education Assistance Fundraising Committee.
As an advisor and speaker, she has contributed to various national and international conferences – for example, the Canadian Public Health Association, the Ontario Halfway House Association, the Ontario Risk Management Forum, and the international Conference on Violence Against Women.
